Dad, the rock that taught you to roll

Dad, the rock that taught you to roll

At Saints we believe in dads. Apart from a few awesome moms out there, likelihood is that your dad gave you your first sip of beer, taught you to ride a bike and took you out for an inconspicuous burger from time to time.

June is an important month in South African History as this Sunday marks the anniversary of  the Soweto uprising. Regardless of which side of the fence you sit on, it marked the way and laid the footsteps for our youth today to follow in.

So this month, let’s look at what your dad means to you, what history means to you and while contemplating all these intense questions, come see what a good burger craft beer means to us.

Let's keep real Rock n Roll giong!

Let’s keep real Rock n Roll giong!

Kings Of Chaos will be in our Paradise City this weekend!

Some of the grand masters of Rock n Roll will be gracing our ears with their divine melodies (and the odd screech, guttral roar and wicked guitar solos). If like us, you weren’t able to get tickets because you have to work or are too busy serving awesome customers some wicked burgers, pull in to Saints where Rock n Roll reigns supreme. We don’t have Kings Of Chaos on our jukebox, but we do have the originals!

Here’s to welcoming Rock ‘n Roll to our fair (paradise) city.

At Saints, we believe in Rock, we believe in the legends of Rock and we believe that Rock lives forever. So we are very excited about the Kings of Chaos playing at The Grand Arena in Cape Town 7 & 8 June 2013.

Some of the bands that these “Rock Royalty” have founded or performed with include Guns n Roses, Def Leppard, Velvet Revolver, The Cult, Deep Purple and Collective Soul. Tickets are still available at Computicket.

So with 3 weeks to go until pure, adulterated Rock n Roll hits our shores, here’s our first installment in our Kings of Chaos tribute.

Guns N’ Roses, Welcome to the Jungle!

He’ll be there for you!

There has been a lot of hype around tonight’s Bon Jovi concert. Especially with the traffic issues caused by the bus strike. The City is encouraging people to come into town early, use trains and avoid Town if you’re not going to the show.

If you are going to see Jon, we bet you’re Living on a Prayer to get there in time. If you’re not, well, then traffic for you is a Bed of Roses. If you’re pulling into Saints instead, we’ll be sure to have Something for the Pain.

No matter what you’re up to tonight, It’s your Life we believe it needs to be lived while you’re alive!

Now you know…

At Saints, we believe in telling it like it is. With the latest meat scandal emigrating from the UK and hitting South African Shores, we’d like to draw your attention to our “Where’s the beef” article.

We know where our meat comes from. We know how our burgers are made. We know what goes into them. We know where the beef is. The only “pretender” we have on our menu is a Sweet Pretender. A chargrilled giant mushroom on a multigrain bun topped with roasted pepper, fresh mozzarella and smoked jalapeno garlic aioli.

So if you’re not into donkey dressed as beef or even if you’re looking for a burger that doesn’t have game, we’ve got you covered.

We'll be having none of this tonight!

We’ll be having none of this tonight!

At Saints, we believe in love. The love of a good burger, the love of beer, the powerful, soul moving love of Rock ‘n Roll! We don’t believe that love needs to only be assigned one day, but it has been. So in celebration with those of you who are going gooey today and in commiseration with those of you who are waiting for the half price chocolate sales tomorrow, here’s Tina Turner asking what Love has to do with it.

We promise not to have hearts, roses and chocolates littering our restaurant tonight, so pull in for no frills burgers. “Right of admission reserved” means that we can kick cupid out if he starts causing trouble.

Wherever you're going, music can get you there.

Wherever you’re going, music can get you there.

At Saints, we believe in going places. We’re all on a road to somewhere and often music will take you there. When you have great burgers, good beer and Rock ‘n Roll, you can go anywhere.

Let’s go on a Journey together, Don’t Stop Believin’, you’ll get there.
